One of our core values at St Edward’s Prep is kindness. Our Little Griffins and Reception students have shown this in all they did today.

“A Maths challenge AND snow - it’s the best afternoon ever!”

The evening was a great success with much discussion and collaboration

All the team played out of their skins, on what was a very cold and wet afternoon.

It is no secret that pretend play forms an essential part of a child's learning and development.

Whilst developing, implementing and communicating ideas that are both original and inventive, along with being able to analyse and synthesise information to solve problems and answer questions, as well as articulate thoughts and effectively share responsibility for collaborative work is not something new to the 21st century, these are, however, critical skills needed to succeed in a 21st century marketplace.

St Edward’s had a fantastic first game against a team that were well practised.

We tried our hand at Morse Code and were quite successful at breaking codes. We learnt that it was Hut 8, led by Alan Turing that made the breakthrough on the Dolphin Enigma key used by the German U-Boats attacking the British Trans-Atlantic convoys.

The year 5 boys acquitted themselves well against a strong St Andrew’s team.

A fun-filled few weeks has been had at the St Edward's Prep Holiday Club, we are looking forward to welcoming back students tomorrow!
