A love of English Language

A love of English Language

Hard at work when you walk in, each Year 6 pupil is focusing on their own piece. Then the silence breaks and their lively English teacher Debbie Andrew invites someone to share their descriptive piece for the others to critique. Attentive listening, applause, thoughtful comment and useful feedback and then it is someone else’s turn.

St Edward’s Prep New Outdoor Seating Area

As our pupils return to school for the remainder of the Spring Term they are able to make use of the new outdoor seating area between the astro and the playground.
Mr Slade along with Mr Stanford and Mr Imiolek have been working incredibly hard over the last couple of months to get the work completed in time for our school reopening. We are sure you will all join us in saying a very big thank you to them.

Online Learning Provision Continues

Online Learning Provision Continues

As we move towards half term we here at St Edward's Prep are looking to further improve the online provision expanding on what we are currently offering. Adding to our 6 core subjects a day mixed with breaks and off screen time, we have held a Friday family quiz challenge and a superhero fitness session. Screen free afternoons have also been hugely popular with projects to design and flight test an aeroplane as well as designing and making our very own superhero board game.

Introducing the new Head of St Edward’s Prep

‘Learning should end in tangible action.’ So says Jonathan Parsons, Head of St Edward’s Prep. ‘We need to help children understand why they are learning something and what can they use it for. What skills are going to help them achieve and empower them to take control of their learning journey, to enjoy building these skills and to ultimately become successful'.

Walks with Hawks

Walks with Hawks

There was an air of excitement as the pupils of St Edward’s Prep arrived for school on a glorious sunny Monday morning.
Our Parent Teachers’ Association had arranged an educational visit for the boys from the wonderfully engaging and knowledgeable Clare at Walks with Hawks.
Clare has been busy educating the boys on Birds of Prey and what they love to eat, their habits and where they live and what threatens their existence.

Congratulations!
