Sunny picnics…..

The sun was out in force on Friday for the annual Pre Prep picnic at Upper Basildon Village Hall. Smothered in sun cream and with caps firmly on heads the boys settled down for a picnic with their friends, teachers and parents in a shady spot under the trees.

It was not long before they were keen to take advantage of the expansive playing fields. Inspired by the current World Cup the boys set up an eventful cricket match and an energetic football game where they loved playing alongside professional footballer Callum Harriott. Many of the boys enjoyed exploring and climbing the play ground equipment while others retreated into the cool of the village hall for a break from the sun and rather more sedate activates including construction.

Everyone who attended agreed that spending a sunny Friday afternoon with the St Edward’s Family was a lovely way to end the working week.
