Harvest Festival and Macmillan Coffee Morning
In assembly this morning, we celebrated the Harvest Festival followed by our Macmillan coffee morning. It was a pleasure to welcome Rev Jo Williams to school this morning and the boys thoroughly enjoyed her sermon on The Seven Days of Creation. We look forward to seeing her again at our carol service in December.
Pre-Prep sang a beautiful song called “Vegetables and Fruit” and showed the pictures they had drawn. Prep followed by singing “Let’s Harvest!”. Mrs Hagyard was very impressed with the boy’s efforts in singing.
We were overwhelmed with the amount of donations we received, thank you very much. The school council will be delivering the donations to ReadiFood on Thursday.
Holroyd Howe made a fantastic display of fruit and vegetables and a bread creation as a centre piece which we enjoyed at lunchtime.
We would also like to thank those parents who stayed for our Macmillan coffee morning and brought homemade cakes (which were delicious!).
The total amount we raised will be announced in next week’s update as we are still receiving donations.
