Little Griffins LOVE messy play!
Little Griffins LOVE getting messy…be it sand, water, bubbles or even ‘bubbly, wet sand’! They will even cook you up a delicious ‘muddy meal’ in the mud kitchen, if you are very lucky.
However, a favourite activity for all the boys is play dough and this has been our teaching focus this half term. Little Griffins have made 3-4 different kinds, giving plenty of opportunities for maths and science discussions and learning. Once made, the play dough has been used to create ice-creams (decorated with rainbow rice), numicon pizzas and even flows of lava from the table (mind your feet!!!) As it is Autumn, they have even created patterns by pressing in pine cones, conkers, leaves and any other natural objects they could find.
See the picture below for all ‘The Many Benefits Of Messy Play’ and try to remember that your child is learning so much, while they create all that laundry just for you!
