U11A vs St George’s

On Wednesday the U11A team travelled over to Windsor for a very close game vs St George’s. The boys found themselves 1-0 at half time thanks to a try from Jacob. The team showed excellent levels of ability first half and kept out George’s. In the second half we made too many mistakes to let George’s back in the game. Jashan and Aedan had good games stepping in for the injured Oliver, Dimeji and Alex. Jacob did manage to get himself another try and also got man of the match as he was clearly the best player on the pitch on the day.
Final score St Edward’s 2-4 St George’s.

In a tough game against a strong Windsor side the U10A team acquitted themselves but came up short. The effort was typified by the never say die attitude of Isaac who supported every runner and tried to make every tackle.

U9 experienced a tough afternoon against their Windsor counterparts, with silly errors costing them dearly against a well drilled St George’s side. Despite holding on to the ball for long periods of time, St Edward’s couldn’t break down the stoic defence of the visitors but good lessons have been learnt moving forward!

U9B vs St George’s

Our boys showed great resilience against St George’s. Their boys were really fast and very well organised and we had to shape up quickly after a few early tries from St George’s. The boys worked hard and made sure their passing was accurate which meant we started to be much more competitive. The second half was excellent. With the help from a couple of St George’s friends, the boys got back into the game scoring 5 tries. Baichen got two and played really well as well as Daniel who tackled excellently from the beginning to the end of the game. St George’s won in the end but the game was played in fantastic spirit and both teams enjoyed the game. Man of the match goes to Baichen.

U8A vs St George’s

The U8A had a fixture on Friday vs St George’s over in Windsor.
The boys started off slowly but managed to finish the first half 1-0 up. The second half was a lot more one sided with a solid defensive display from the boys and some break away tries we managed to win 4-1. All the boys played well second half and made it very difficult to choose a man of the match but this week it had to go to Thomas for his excellent running with the ball.
Tries were scored by:
Oliver B
Thomas S
Oliver N

U8B vs St George’s

The U8Bs had a fantastic match against St George’s in Windsor on Friday. The first half saw the boys really finding their rhythm and by the second half they were flying. The team had a very well organised defence that stopped the St George’s attack on many occasions. There were some solid attacking runs from Isaac, Thomas C and Mert. Man of the match went to Toby for his fantastic skills in finding the open spaces and finishing the tries. Final score 5:2 to St Edward’s.
