Sports Report – Rugby

Year 5

The year 5 boys acquitted themselves well against a strong St Andrew’s team. In two games, against mixed opposition, they lost 3-2 and 6-1 respectively.

In the first match Izak scored 2 tries and the year 5s could have drawn the game if it wasn’t for a try saving tackle.

In the second game Joseph carried the boys through against tough opposition and capped it off with a superb solo effort from kick off.

The above boys were man of the match for their respective games.

Year 6

The U11A started the Rugby term with a very difficult game vs St Andrew’s. Starting off the season vs the best side on the circuit was always going to be hard.

The boys kept at it until the final whistle but lost the game 7-1. We have a base to build from now and the boys need to apply themselves to improve in next week’s fixture.

Man of the match wen to Dimeji.
