Sports report week commencing 23rd April

Sports Report Week Commencing 23rd April 2018

Wednesday 25th April saw our first cricket fixture of the season for the 10A team. The boys bowled and fielded very well. Pick of the bowlers was Max 1-7 of 4 overs. St Andrews finished on 79-6 from their 20 overs.
In reply, we started very slowly and were 3 down after 4 overs. Oliver batted very well and scored 20 runs but it wasn’t enough as we ended the game on 59-6 from our 20 overs.
Man of the match went to Oliver for his batting and wicker keeping.
Mr Bovingdon.

U11A vs St. Andrews

The U11A team travelled St. Andrew’s on Wednesday. We bowled first and the opposition amassed a total of 110-1 in their allotted overs. Abeer was the standout bowler who bowled 4 overs and took 1 for 17. For the short time we have had in the nets this term, Abeer performed admirably and he very much deserved man of the match. The opposition has four county bowlers so I was very proud of the way we performed!
Mr Jones.

U11C vs St. Andrews

The first match against St. Andrews was a really good experience. St. Andrews were the stronger team but played the game showing great sportsmanship and we all got something from the game. We fell into the old trap of trying a little too hard to the detriment of technique, which meant there were a few too many wides. However, there were some stand out performances, especially Oliver and Lucas, who bowled and batted very well. Man of the Match went to Oliver.
Mr Parsons.

U9 vs Bishopsgate

It was great for Bishopsgate to host our match even with the weather conditions. It was a wet and cold one but our boy’s effort was good. Joseph and Owen were strong at both batting and bowling with Luca and Max following closely behind. We thank Bishopsgate for hosting and playing the game fairly and in a friendly manner. They managed to restrict us in the end to 252 which meant they took the win. Owen was Man of the Match.
Mr Parsons.
