Captain Swift, First Mate Arnold and all the Year 1 crew are learning about pirates for their humanities topic this term.

Reiss-Alexander is a member of the Chelsea FC Academy. Now in Year 6, he has been at St Edward’s since he started in Reception at the age of four. Like most boys his age he is passionate about football, however for Reiss-Alexander his passion could one day make him a household name.

It was a wet and mucky day at the woods, but that didn't deter the boys in Year 1 - they had a fabulous time!

The Pre-Reception boys may have only just started at St Ed's, but they are all enjoying the activities Mrs B gives them to do at home. Fantastic work boys!

Year 2 visited Pangbourne Woods. They made stick frames which helped them to focus when exploring. With eyes drawn more closely to the area they were investigating, small details were much easier to isolate and they saw some very interesting natural phenomena!

There has been so much excitement at St Ed's this week for our Flight theme STEAMED activities. We started in style with the arrival of a flight simulator in the form of a tiny plane. The boys had a fabulous day learning to fly and constructing model aircraft. There were more future pilots in the making when Pre-Prep visited the Berkshire Museum of Aviation on Wednesday.

The Little Griffins enjoyed learning about the Battle of Britain, which is the most fun if you re-enact it!

On Tuesday morning, Reception parents visited the classroom to join the boys enjoyment of STEAMED week. They helped their sons with a variety of different flight related design technology activities. The morning ended with everyone having a lovely aeroplane biscuit made by the kitchen staff.
