15/10/18 – Colts A v Churchend County Cup Game

17/10/18 – Colts A v Dolphin

The Colts A played away against Dolphin. From the very first minute, we dominated the game with some slick passing all over the pitch. We pressed well as a team and did not give Dolphin any time on the ball.
The boys showed great attitude on the pitch and scored some very good goals. The final score was 9-0 and scorers were: Jo 2, Dimeji 2, Oliver 2, Max, Alex and Louis. This week Man of The Match went to Max for his work on and off the ball.

31/10/18 Colts A v Papplewick

The Colts A started the half term with a very good performance against a very strong Papplewick side. The boys were 1-0 down at half time but battled back to win the game with two excellent goals from Dimeji. Everyone had a good game but Jo kept us in the game in goal with three top draw saves. He got a round of applause by all watching for one of them and was given Man of The Match by his teammates.

Great start, let’s hope for the same levels of commitment from them all.

Colts B Vs Papplewick

We were a little slow out of the blocks after half term against Papplewick and had to fight hard to keep Papplewick from scoring. The first half definitely belonged to them but we managed to defend well and they went into half time 1-0 up. The boys admitted at half time that they were disorganised and needed to try a little harder and that they did. They came out ‘guns blazing’ and Josh managed to get a great goal. However, Papplewick caught us on the counter attack a couple of times but St Edward’s would not give up. The game finished 3-2 to Papplewick but was a fantastic game to watch. Well done St Edward’s.

2/11/18 U8A v Dolphin

On Friday, the U8A started the term off with a victory against Dolphin school. The boys are starting to play some excellent football and are playing better as a team. Thomas had a good game-scoring one and setting up three, Taig and Jon also scored a goal each but Man of The Match, Anirudh, scored a hat-trick.

U9A v Dolphin

St Edward’s played the first half literally playing up hill. This meant that Dolphin attacked with speed and were difficult to defend. However, Dylan managed to get a goal for St Edward’s which kept us in the game after Dolphin had scored 3. The second half was a different story. We had the slope and took full advantage. With goals from Ronit, Luke and Dylan the game ended 6-3 to St Edward’s. An incredible fight back.
