U8A v Bishopsgate

Man of the Match – Thomas S

St Edward’s had a fantastic first game against a team that were well practised. We were a little sleepy from Christmas still and Bishopsgate managed to get a few tries past us early. However, we soon woke up trading try for try and making a very entertaining match. Exceptional play from Ollie B, Tommy and Taig and a great effort from everyone. Final score 13-8 to Bishopsgate.

Man of the Match – Moussa

What a great first game of rugby for our St Edward’s team. Bishopsgate are always strong but we gave them a run for their money. Oliver N and Moussa gave very exciting performances while Mert and Isaac really grew into the game. Final score was 14-10 to Bishopsgate. A great effort from the boys in their first ever game.

U9A v Bishopsgate

Man of the Match – Luke

The U9As started the season with a difficult fixture v Bishopsgate losing 8-3. The boys didn’t start very well and found themselves 6-1 down at half time. They played a lot better in the second half and managed to draw the half 2-2. Two tries for Luca and one for Dylan. Man of the match went to Luke who tackled well throughout the whole game.

Man of the Match – Kai

It was a tough day for the U9Bs in terms of overall result but there were huge strides taken throughout the game. Despite losing the game 25-7, the skill development throughout the game was huge and there are encouraging signs moving forward

Particularly praise must go Kai who scored all 7 of St Edwards tries.
