1, 2, 3, 4, 5!
This week Reception have been exploring the different ways to make 5 with lots of practical tasks to split up amounts of 5 to consolidate the idea that it does not matter how they are grouped, there will always be 5.
The boys have enjoyed sharing the farm animals between 2 fields, using the weighing scales to see if the amounts balance with the 5 numicon piece, exploring the different combinations of 5 children in family, and singing along to the ‘I know my numberbonds’ song.
