Physical development in the Early Years covers mainly the boys’ development of fine and gross motor skills, not only running, jumping, chasing and balancing, but also using scissors, threading and learning to hold a pencil correctly.

At such young ages, all the boys were able to play their roles with mature insightfulness which was, at times, breath-taking.

This year’s cohort have been super ambassadors for the school and they fully deserve the senior school places they move to.

Thank you to all who came along and enjoyed the fun, and to those that helped out or ran stalls.

Unlike in recent years, the sun shone down for us on Friday when we held the annual Pre Prep Picnic at Upper Basildon Village Hall.

Boys and girls from Pine Rivers and Little Tots nurseries came to a ‘Bear Hunt’ themed morning.

Preliminary rounds took place during our English lessons culminating in seven boys chosen for the final competition.
